Our Mission

The Association of Safety & Health Consultants and Trainers, Inc. (ASHCAT) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in NB in 1999. It exists to provide an accountability forum and act as a standard setter for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professional members who practice within New Brunswick and across Canada. We offer professional level training in the OSH discipline and are committed to pursuing both continuous improvements in our clients' workplaces and professional excellence and prosperity for all stakeholders.

ASHCAT offers an important training and human resource to NB enterprises, protecting both its members and clients by ensuring that members follow Association standards in all areas of professional practice. Members of ASHCAT include self-employed private OSH consultants and / or trainers. To maintain public credibility, they must meet stringent standards of professional conduct as outlined in our Code of Ethics. In addition, ASHCAT members will adhere to professional training and certification standards and areas of competency which are currently being established.
